Stanton University (SU) was founded in 1996 as an academic institution of higher learning which focuses on the incorporation of Christian tenets into the didactic approaches of higher education. In the quest for academic quality, the University has a commitment to increase and strengthen the quality of teaching in the classroom through trying varied teaching models, careful evaluation and feedback.

Stanton University is a nonprofit, public benefit educational institution. Instruction began at SU in 2002 with a doctoral degree program in Ministry, Masters' degree programs in Divinity and Oriental Medicine and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education program. An Intensive English Language Certificate program has been added in response to the needs of the university's diverse multicultural service community.
